So much has been talked about the rumor of a polar shift occurring in Earth in the not so distant future. Many people have gone so far as to propose a 2012 polar shift map that details the possible new locations of different continents. But the more important is issue, as many believe, is not how the world will look like after a pole shift, but where to go to before it happens?
What are the best places in the world to go to in preparation for a pole shift?
United States
The prospects are dark for people living in the United States. There is the super volcano in the Yellowstone National Park which could erupt any time soon, when there is enough disturbance within the Earth to trigger it. United States also has plenty of subterranean nuclear reactors which could lead to a blast off when the land where they are located are agitated. Coastal regions are also under threat by super-tsunamis which could wipe away everything on their paths.
Hypothetically, the safest places in the united states are those areas location some 100 kilometers away from the volcanoes, a couple of kilometers away from the coast, and have an altitude of at least 3 kilometers. Based on the number of nuclear reactors, people living in the West have a higher chance of surviving nuclear blast off than those residing in the East.
Europe
Europe is possibly the least safe place on Earth when a pole shift happens due to its number of nuclear reactors. It also has a good share of volcanoes and super volcanoes – active or otherwise – which could pose threat to people living less than a hundred miles from them. Europe is also not immune to tidal waves and rising sea levels. Although the tidal waves in Europe could be less powerful than those that could be experienced in the Pacific, although fatal nonetheless.
Asia
Asia has regions that are relatively safe from the disasters associated with pole shift and has regions that are not so safe to be at when it happens. However, despite it being relatively safe from these disasters, the main threat to Asia are the countries that go through lengths to make war with other countries that make them good targets for a nuclear warfare.
The nation islands of Asia are not so better off though since these are prone to eruption of super volcanoes and tsunamis. Although of course, areas that are not speckled with active volcanoes and those that are several miles above sea level may exist after the poles of the Earth flip.
Africa
The entire African continent is perhaps the safest place on Earth. If you have noticed, the entire continent has changed very little over the last several million years since the supercontinent Pangea shifted locations. This is attributed to the fact that there are only a few fault lines and super volcanoes in the content.
Nuclear blast off is also a slim possibility since only one nuclear reactor is located in the region. In terms of tidal waves, Africa will remain safe even if all the ice in the melt completely.
Sure, it will be very interesting to know with the help of a 2012 polar shift map how the face of our planet will change. Of immediate however is to survive the catastrophes first.
