Before I start, I believe in Evolution and that there is no God. But…..
….I can't help but think the End might be coming, in front of our very eyes. you see, it all started when i heard the Nostradamus predicted the End of The World at the Millennium. Obviously it didn't happen. But..I then heard that when Nostradamus was around – 500+ years ago – the calendar only had 10 months in it. January and February were added later. thats why, such as October being the 10th month. You'd normally associate 'oct' with 8 not 10. because it was the eighth month. I figured that maybe that could have put Nostradamus out if whack by about 12 years. then I heard about the Bible saying that a Holy War (A war in the Holy Land – Israel) will bring about Armageddon. then I heard about the Mayan Prophecy in 2012. then I thought Kim Jong-Il was going to start the proceedings with his Nuke Bombs. I wonder now, if its all going to happen in the Middle East. If the current 'Democratic Revolution' thats happened in Tunisia and now Egypt spreads towards Israel, the whole of the Middle East will de-stabilise. Egypt has a massive hand in the very existence if Israel. If it falls, so will we. Eventually.
Oh yeah, my question…am I the only one thinking like this?
No.
Take about 20 minutes and read up on the history of Egypt (as well as the rest of the world) — you'll find there have been thousands and thousands of conflicts and uprisings there, not a one of which resulted in the "end of the world."
And if you don't believe there's a god, why are you worried about silly superstitious stories about one?
Peace.
Nope, it is just politics in Egypt.
Mubarik needs to step down before he dies of old age and they have no good way to hand power over to his successor even if they had a proper selection process to choose him.
I expect that the election that is coming up in September will be very interesting.
No, many people are aware how dangerous Israel is. it is only the beginning, as the chaos increases the riots will get worse accordingly. If WW 111 gets of the ground then it will be started by Israel and I can assure you that I will not be supporting them. If it starts then it will have the potential of finally destroying this planet and all on it and it just goes to show how pathetic religions are.
One of the signs b4 the day of judgement in islam:
"The inhabitants of Egypt and Sham will kill their ruler and his commands…"
(Ibn Hajar al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar fi `Alamat al-Mahdi al-Muntazar, p. 49)
Other minor signs coming true prophesized 1400 years ago:

No. it is an oppressed impoverished people with a proud history of intellectual prowess fighting against their oppressor.
It has nothing to do with any prophecy – biblical, mayan or that old French guy. All of them are demonstrably wrong.
No, there is no reason to think that people rising up against a repressive regime is a sign of the "end times".
Nostradamus was only is "successful" because his prophecies are very vague and people are willing to believe nonsense.
There is no Mayan prophecy about 2012. That was fabricated by quack archaeologist Michael D. Coe when he deliberately misinterpreted the Mayan calender in order to sell more copies of his book.
All things are a sign of the end of times. Things will just become progressively worse until God retuns. We are on the downside of that roller coaster. We are 2011 years closer to the end. whenever that happens to be.
Egyptian history factored in during the time of Moses..it has no significance today. All that can be said of Egypt is already written…and its was not pretty. The plagues, drowning of Pharaoh & his hordes.
Maybe when 2012 comes and goes without incident superstitious people and theists will realize that the whole end of the world thing isn't the only thing they've reading too far into.
I doubt the end is coming and were all going to die but it IS possible
also egypts having a revolution its really interesting (cuz there leaders a total dick)
france had the same happening years ago
america in the 60s
india and pakistan is ongoing
Nostradamus has predictoins up to the year 7500 I have a book with all of them in it
Crap happens in all countries all the time. The end of times will have things happening like this and natural disasters ALL at once. We will know and not question it.
I think it might be the end of Mubarek's days – in office. other than that, no.
Nope life goes on with or without the human race. But some people tend to forget that
No, I sure don't.
A part of it. More to come
No, there are lots of other people, casting around for random events to support their desire to see an apocalyptic end-of-the-world happen in their lifetime. The "prophecies" of Nostradamus have been twisted and stretched so far out of shape that they mean virtually anything now. The reason the year only had "ten months" was that no one bothered to schedule anything in the middle of winter, so January and February existed, but no one paid much attention to them. Kim Jong Il has not actually been able to start a war despite his efforts. as for Tunisia and Egypt, they have been under the control of totalitarian dictators for decades and the people are tired of them. Egypt is NOT "the Holy Land". Obviously you are grasping at straws to keep your violent dream alive. it will never happen, but that doesn't mean that you won't continue to see more "signs" in every political uprising or natural disaster that comes along.
Okay well you have two options here friend:
Option one:
Realize that Nostradamus' "predictions" were so broad and general they could have been about anything. Also realize that the bible is the same book that claims that the whole earth was flooded and one geriatric and his family managed to save all of the species on earth by putting them on a boat, and is therefore nonsense. Also realize that people have been predicting the end of the earth for millenia: they have been wrong. in fact Matthew seems to indicate that Jesus' supposed second coming would have happened in his lifetime. Matthew 24:34 says "Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened."
Option two:
Freak out for no reason and sell all your material possessions to me (ultra cheap of course) to buy weapons and a fall-out shelter.
Personally, I would benefit more if you chose option two.
As a side note: if the destruction of man and the planet does occur within 10 generations (about 300 years) it will be caused by man itself, not some imaginary deity.
Whats happening in Egypt at this time is part of BIBLE prophecy.yes this current government in Egypt will fall because of her treaties with Israel.REALIZE THAT the Egyptians will consort with many other Arab countries and Russia and attack Israel, and think to destroy her.now you wont believe my words now yet when this happens and it well happen soon only 1/6 of that army will be left. The whole world will know there is a GOD in Israel, and he fights for his children.think of it.Israel defeats Russia Egypt Iran and many others. All will know the POWER OF THE WORD OF GOD AT THAT TIME.now that's nothing as seven years after that an army of 200,000,000 plus shows up in the valley of Megedo and is completely wiped out.by a dozen Israeli soldiers and there GOD. then shall all the world know there is a GOD in Israel and his name is JESUS.now there is a lot more to these prophecies than I wrote here.Yet when these things come to pass there shall be no doubt as to the truth in the BIBLE. THANK YOU your servant david
No, not really. The middle east has always been a place of war. Of course democracy has spread there, we've sent people there for the past 10 years or so.
Not just military personnel but civil contractors. They spread our ideas and culture.
BUT BE WARNED, EVERYONE!
Look at a map of Egypt and what do you see?
They watch over the canal beyond the Red Sea. this canal is a trade route used for OIL!
If Egypt destabilizes then that canal will be lost and the price of GAS will shoot up to 7 dollars a gallon!
I bet you 7 dollars that if that region doesn't end up okay then the USA will go to war.
WRONG. October was always the tenth month, but at the same time the eighth month. it was 10th because the first two months were always there at the time, known solely as 'winter'. So his prediction is still wrong. The Christians have been whining about the end of days since the 19th century, when many French people suddenly turned to Atheism. The mayans never predicted the end of the world, their calendar simply ended, meaning they either ran out of stone, decided that writing their calendar 500 years into the future was enough, or, they were all murdered before they could work out the rest of the calendar, which,in fact, happened. The Middle east destabilizing will have consequences, yes, but Israel falling has absolutely no effect on most countries.
The biggest issue that could arrive, would be if Saudi Arabia collapsed, leaving a LOT of oil to be inaccessable (who's going to dig for a flammable substance when bombs are landing all around you)
Putting the US in crisis, the fall of the US putting China in crisis, the fall of China, etc.
Buuuuuuuuuuuut probably that's not going to happen anyway.
No…some of the signs of that are decreasing morality (Gay Pride, for example) and Satan ruling the churches, both of which are happening now…it has been revealed from the Bible, in these last times, that Judgment Day is May 21st, 2011, with world annihilation (God destroying it with fire) on October 21st, 2011. in between those dates it will be utter horror and no salvation for the unsaved left behind.

Pray now for mercy and salvation while there is still time.
Read. read, read the Bible (Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.
Doed anybody else wonder if all this in Egypt has anything to do with the End of Days?
