Does anybody know when these episodes are coming backon?

Are you convinced there is something to the supposed end of times in 2012?

YES!!! If people can't see that these are the end times, then they are blind. I'm counting on more and more troubles in the world, financial, political, scientific, natural disasters, etc….

It's simply a date signifying the end of the age of Pisces. we are entering the age of Aquarius. That's all there is to it and nothing more.

Yea…I think there is something to it. seems like alot of coincidence with all the ancient calendars ending in 2012. Not to mention the earth is due for a pole shift, planets will align like never before, etc….

No, nothing will happen. it will be drummed up a lot, then ABSOLUTELY nothing will happen. it will be like Y2K except based on beliefs that are even more unfounded.

nope, not convinced at all. just another end of times prediction.

Are you convinced there is something to the supposed end of times in 2012?

Whom believe in end of days will occur in 2012?

"End of Days" or "End of Age" refers to the end of the age of the FISH.
The symbol of Jesus is the fish.
The astrological sign.

The next age will be Aquarius. The water barer.
The old age is coming to an end and the new age is coming. "The age of Auarius" is beginning.

THAT'S ALL.
"no end of man or the earth or anything"

Nobody. That's who.

No rational person does.

Crazy mad scientist!

nobody knows.

only those people who fail to use their brains believe this.

NO WAY
Nobody knows when the last day will be. somebody just made that up

maybe the atheists who believe in only science.

Whom believe in end of days will occur in 2012?

How many of you actually believe that the world will end right on Dec. 21, 2012?

I mean right on the moment of the solstice, right on the dot. what exactly do you think the "end of the world" means?

BQ: are you religious or spiritual?

I personally do not. I think "the end of the world" means that the world will change from how we are used to it. this could be anything from the internet forever lost, causing world economies to crash. Or hey, who knows… Zombies could rise. One way to find out.

Is that eastern standard time or…..?

its not going to end in 2012

Hopefully all the retards who believe in it will disappear.

The kind of mind that accepts this drivel as real is not acquainted with the idea that mundane, everyday facts such as the rotation of the Earth might be relevant.

Since it is my opinion that spirituality is an matter of self deception I am neither spiritual or religious.

December 2012: The Boilerplate Answer

We hear each day "two oh one two"
The kids all ask if it is true.
"Nibiru, the planet we must fear,
Or planet X shall soon be here.
The Mayan count runs to an end.
I was told this by a friend.”

Nibiru the hoax world of Sitchin
Fit only for the garbage bin.
Devoid of fact, reason or wit,
Science laughs at all the talk of it.

Of planet “X” Nan Lieder cries,
And yet she won’t look at the skies,
To come in sixteen months it’s true,
The damn thing must be now in view!

"Where is it?" Science asks with glee,
"you said, ‘Beware two thousand three!’
With Earth it didn’t make a tryst,
We’re very sure it don’t exist!"

Galactic lines are the next fright,
And yet the angles are not right.
“Six degrees off!” the scientists say,
“It happens near each solstice day.”
But it would no difference make,
You can be sure the thing’s a fake.

"Planets align!" or so some say
"it will be on that very day."
Yet naught of fact now can they quote,
I’d like to take them by the throat
And try to squeeze some truth right in,
But murder now they say’s a sin.

Failed prophets, fools, those full of fraud,
Are people with whom we all are bored.

How many of you actually believe that the world will end right on Dec. 21, 2012?

What reason do we have to not believe in the 2012 end of the world thing?

I mean, even on wikipedia, there are facts that prove WHY it would happen. On Dec.21.2012 it says that the Mayan calendar says it's the end of the "Great Cycle". and the next day (Dec.22) is the "alternate" day for the ending. and the day AFTER that, is the day the Kyoto Protocol will EXPIRE. which means it will stop protecting us from the stupid greenhouse gas thing, which means the world will blow up in fire/burn. and it says that it WILL expire. So even if it doesn't end dec.21/22 then it's going to the next day, if they don't do something. This is what the world gets for not taking care of earth, and now we're all gonna die. it really sucks. also the whole "2012" movie. About the end of the world. I mean, what more do I need to say?

I would've read the whole question, but as soon as you mentioned Wikipedia as your source I just quit.

People often misinterpret the end of the Mayan Calendar for being the end of the world. really, I think the whole is just a way to sell their "2012" movie. Kind of like Al Gore with Global Warming.

Also, you asked "what is wrong with wikipedia?". anyone, and I mean anyone can edit it.

Note: none of this applies if this was just a sarcastic statement and not a serious question at all.

i just dont know what to believe..

First of all, Wikipedia is not the end-all, be-all source of information. Oftentimes its information should be regarded with a very large grain of salt as anyone can edit information there, or just make up their own thing. Wikipedia tries its best to give links to other sources as citations but it's not always possible. in this case, if there WAS a true, confirmed source of information that definitely pointed to 2012 as the end of the world, don't you think people would have known about it by now? I mean, if the Mayans wrote it in their calendar 1000s of years ago, that's plenty of time for the rest of civilization to figure it out, right?

Second of all, your understanding of science is horribly inaccurate. The Kyoto Protocol has nothing to do with the end of the world. Global warming does not mean the world is going to catch fire and green house gasses are not explosive – if they were, then we wouldn't have even evolved as a species – some pre-historic forest fire would have blown up the world before the dinosaurs came along!

Third, "real" date for the last day on the Mayan calendar is actually in 2013. most people fail to take into account the adjustment the Catholic church made to the calendar in the 13th century. but this just points out a larger problem with the whole 2012 is the end of the world stuff. There's no real basis for it. do you actually know what the Mayan religion or mythology says will happen in 2012? do you even know where the whole 2012 thing came from? Could there be any other reason that you can think of that would cause someone to just stop carving the calendar in stone after, say, 2500 years? maybe something like…"I ran out of stone" or "who really needs a 2501 year calendar?" or maybe "I'm really tired of carving calendars…let's go do something else?"

But no, you've simply read something on the internet, and figured "it must be true – it's on the internet!" and you're showing signs of being unable to distinguish fantasy from reality. and you expect us to take you seriously? You're pointing to a bad disaster movie – a work of fiction – as a supporting argument?! seriously!? and, like, did you hear about that huge monster named Cloverfield that ate new York the other year? there was a huge documentary in the theaters about it!

Do yourself, and everyone else, a favor. Turn off the computer. Go to a library, and read some books about science and Mayan anthropology. You've been filling your head with conspiracy theory kookery, and not even kook theories based on any sort of FACT.

And no, dates on a calendar, numerology or other fields based on coincidences are not hard facts. They're just serendipitous coincidences.

OK, so the Kyoto Protocol is purely political. Just because it expires doesn't mean everyone's going to go "YAY IT'S OVER LETS GO POLLUTE THE WORLD!" and even if they did, it would take much more time than a day, and the world's not going to catch on fire.

So the Mayans were lazy and stopped writing, so we're going to die? really is that what you think?

What does the alternate date have to do with anything? really?

Yeah, because all movies are reliable sources of information.

EVERYONE can edit wikipedia. I could go on Wikipedia and write that the world will end tomorrow because monkeys will take over the world, and you wouldn't believe that. So why believe this?

Go get some real facts.

the date 2012 came from transposing the Mayan calender of our (gregorian) calender….the gregorian calender is mathematically inferior in that every four years we have leap year….and besides that..The mayans never said we would all die..they simple said that the world would end as WE KNOW IT…they expected the return of there god Quetzalcoatl..as for Kyoto protocol..its been best answered..as for the mayans..the world ended as they know it a long time ago

What reason do we have to not believe in the 2012 end of the world thing?

What do the Maya belive will happen in 2012?

I'm doing a presentation on the Maya calendar, their predictions, and their culture.

The Mayan's believed that in 2012 their calendar would end and they would have to repeat it (just like we always start our year with January). Their calender was much longer and included more than just months and years. they went off of the movement of stars. Also, it should be noted that when the Mayans were a fully functional culture there calender turned over several times. 2012 will end the most recent calender, but people only freak out because they do not understand that the calender starts over. There is no prediction for the end of time. There is, however, a prediction that the wobble of earth would realign (again) to a specific star chart. this also technically means there is a new astrological sign that needs to be put back into Autumn (yes there was another astrological sign, it was taken out to account for the change in star paths due to the "wobble" of the earth.

The Mayans today believe (among other things) that the Olympics will be held in Britain in 2012.

Today, the Maya and their descendants form sizable populations throughout the Maya area and maintain a distinctive set of traditions and beliefs. "We are not myths of the past, ruins in the jungle or zoos. We are people and we want to be respected, not to be victims of intolerance and racism." — Rigoberta Menchú.

Party! that is, if any modern Mayans followed the old calendar, which none do. When a Bak'tun rolled over, like it has many times before, it would be met with a celebration. after the collapse of the Mayan Empire around 800 or 900 AD, there wasn't much celebrating going on, after all, there was likely widespread crop failures and droughts, which caused the abandonment of their major cities, which relied on surrounding fields for food. after life in the cities became impossible, the Mayans fled to the coasts, where they depended on the sea for food. Hundreds of years passed, during which the Mayans never reoccupied the ruined cities they had built, nor did they ever reacquire the skill of agriculture on the massive scale that allowed the cities to be built.

Lots of interesting things happened in history after the fall of the Mayan Empire, involving the scattered tribes of the Mayans, many of which are not widely known and certainly not part of the folklore of modern times, where 21st century people mix up Mayans with Incas and Aztecs seemingly at random. History is hard, I guess.

Reading is good for you. try this:

http://www.2012hoax.org

To my understanding they didn't further the dates on the calendar because they knew their race would be either dwindling or wiped out completely by then. I think this whole end of the world mumbo jumbo is so y2k freak out repeating itself. but there are studies online about it if you go to Google and look it up that way.

They believe it will be a time of celebration. they did not predict the end of the world and are annoyed by having their calendar hijacked by a bunch of new-age doomsday loonies and conspiracy theorists.
What they really said is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012_doomsd…

if you read Maya text properly it says that on 21 of December it will be the end of a 13 yearlong era. but because their calender spirals in on it's self, it must end at some point.

This video seems to be the most objective and informative I've seen on the subject.

On Dec 20th 2012 there will be rioting in the streets when the people realize the world did not end and there are only four shopping days till Christmas.

They believe that their calender will go another 5 thousand something years and then reset itself again and again.

The end of the world ;)

What do the Maya belive will happen in 2012?

Does anyone besides me remember when they said the Mayan calendar ended in 1987?

I remember in the late 1980's that there were people running around saying the Mayan calendar ended in 1987. what happened with that? why do we never consult their calendar for anything else besides the end of the world? I also am wondering when a Mayan will tell us about their calendar, so far, I only hear from hysterical Americans telling each other about it, though they've never even seen the calendar.

"Jose Argüelles: in The Mayan Factor: Path Beyond Technology [published 1987], produced a version of the Maya calendar, called the Dreamspell. Dr Calleman reports that Mr Jenkins 'exposed the calendar proposed by Jose Argüelles, the Dreamspell, as a calendar that had never been used by the Maya,' in the 'so-called true count debate that was posted on the Internet in 1995.'

1987 was the date in the "Dreamspell Calendar" not the actual Mayan Calendar.

Well actually, we do consult the Mayan calendar for other things, such as eclipses. we just don't mention where we get the info from, cause we're kinda embarrassed that we didn't figure out ourselves.

I also remember reading the planetary grid was lifted, taking Earth out of Quarantine by our 'Galatic Society'

….in 1987

I don't. I remember Y2K though, i even knew a guy that built a Bomb shelter for it, now it is just a place to hold parties that cost him WAY to much money.

I have a book from the 80's that belonged to my dad and yes it is a sad state of beliefs. In a bet with my brother for 1000 dollars that nothing will happen come 2012.

I was born in 1989.
But thanks for the information. I'll have to look it up now. I've been looking for more information that says that the whole 2012 thing is a hunk of bullturd.

no else remembered !

God Bless You

We're all living on borrowed time

Does anyone besides me remember when they said the Mayan calendar ended in 1987?

2012!! End of Days!! A matter of Faith or Science??(wordy)?

The mayans (among many other ancient and modern cultures) predicted a date in late December, 2012 as the end of their calendar and the end of days and the earth itself. many people believe this prediction as valid, and live their lives accordingly. This could mean "living it up" everyday because time is short, or buckling down and remaining absolutely true to one's religion. Are these actions, and similar ones, simply acts of faith knowing there is more in the afterlife or an act of science knowing that scientifically the earth is doomed extinction?

You know, for the first time ever no one (apparently) is really buying it that this date/time period is significant. After so many false predictions it looks like the world is finally losing faith that the end will come.

The faith I trust in does not give a particular date and year.
It tells the season, and the signs of the times.
I think according to the Bible that the time of the tribulation is very close.
I think also that the rapture of the church is at hand.
I see no part of science to play in this.
It is of God and his time.
Man is told to know the season and the signs, and the Bible tells us these.
Peace
your friend

Remember how scientists and spiritualists alike said the world would end in 2000, 2003, 2006, 2006, and now 2012. Until the signs of the Earth's destruction become present (the signs listed in the Bible), it's all bull.

Also, one of the signs of the Earth's destruction says that there will be peace is the middle east for 10 years. 3 years just doesn't cut it :]

nope….y2k all over again……the mayans actually had a very acurate callender, it just ended….but then again they also used to sacrifice humans in bloody ways and slit themselves to shed their blood into the altar to "revive the divine energy"….besides…we're talking 1100 years in the future for them….it isn't exactly a prediction of the end of time…more like they decided that the calender they had devised was good enough and if they really needed to they could devise a new one in 1100 years when this one expired

the mayans didnt predict anything, they made a calender on a piece of rock and they ran out of space knowing that their civilisation would never continue past 2012.

everything else after that is based on aliens, planet X, NASA, US govt. pyramids, lasers, etc.

Put your trust in the God of the Holy Bible and your savior, Jesus Christ. Read and study his Word and believe upon him and you will be saved. be obedient to his Word and live righteously.
Yes, we are in the last days and the Rapture of the Saints will soon occur. We need to be alert and ready for his return. But I'd forget about the mayan calendar; what do they know? shrug… the only thing you can truly rely on is God's Holy Scriptures.

Nothing is going to happen. Everyone who is taking the 2012 doomsday prediction seriously must've completely forgotten about Y2K and how the world was totally going to end then.

The world isn't doomed. We're not going to die. nothing is going to end in 2012. Since when do we look up to the Mayans like Rocket Scientists? No one ever believes either of those people any way…

as far as ive seen there is no scientific connection with the 2012 lunacy. nor is there more than the mayan calendar that references it.

there are so many religious folks who believe in the 2012 end of times. Too bad we couldn't get them all to if they are wrong announce their faith as being completely unfounded and ridiculous

They meant the end of THEIR days, which came a lot sooner. the only thing ending in 2012 is the year 2011 and their outdated calendar.

The Mayans also offered up human sacrifice to the Sun.

A matter of media histrionics, more like.

Neither, it's just a matter of stupidity.

Neither.

It's a matter of lunacy.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm not worried about 2012. It's going to be just as anticlimactic as y2k was.

2012!! End of Days!! A matter of Faith or Science??(wordy)?

What are the signs of the end of the world accourding to the bible??

What are the signs, accourding to the bible, of the end of the world?? what happens after that?? Some one told me there are seven awful years on earth to all of those you are left here and in that time they must find Christ… is this true, if not what is?? please don't tell me what YOU think will happen, only tell me what the bible does or does not say. thank you.

The signs are floods and earthquakes.
but WAIT, havent' there always been floods and earthquakes, oops, maybe there are other signs that have never happened before, like Global warming.

The Rising of the Anti-Christs!

Why are you asking people? Dont you know how to read the buy bull yourself? Oh wait, your a christian course you dont know how to read. HA HA

Get a BIBLE, and read it for yourself.

Nothing, really. Jesus tells us that there will be bad things such as wars and persecutions and earthquakes, but He also warns us that these things do not mean "the end," even if we assume that they do mean "the end."

Jesus tells us clearly that we do not know the day nor the hour. He also tells us that "the end" will come when we least expect it.

Remember, too, that this world ends for each and every one of us on the day we die. For most of us, it's not going to be as dramatic as we may imagine it to be.

The KJV Bible 1611 CE published plus 303 years at 1914 CE an excepted translation by law of man and God for the last days or end times beginning with the last soil after Eden coming to be organized to participate in WW1 and followed by WW2 and the holocaust, so wars and rumors of war is one thing, but the whole world at war is another Matt.24:3 [ end ],7,14,15,22,34,36-38 [ only God knows day and hour that Rev.12:3,4,6-11,12; Satan's short time ends here at Rev.20:1-6,12,13 [ no Satan for 1000 years ];

Source(s):

Bible.

The Bible claims that persecution is going to get worse (and many Christians here claim that just about anything that smacks of giving equal time to other faiths is somehow persecution), wars, famines, and floods (except of course that there always have been plenty of all three), and a new Temple has to be built (the problem being that the location is a Muslim Holy site…good luck getting the Temple built!). of course, it says a lot of crazy things too, like stars dropping from the skies (neat trick, that, considering what they really are), hail, fires, earthquakes (when have we not had a lot of these too?), locusts with the stings of scorpions, evil horses with human heads and seas of blood and a series of "beasts" like things out of a Godzilla movie, all kinds of things.

Interestingly, the imagery from the Apocalypse is deeply imbedded in the religious traditions of John's time. as many scholars have argued, almost all beasts, eagles, locusts, dragons and acts of nature John describes stem from the long standing tradition of Jewish religious culture — and even date back to the Zoroastrianist apocalyptic of the ancient Iranians. the symbol language John uses would clearly have been understood by the faithful from John's days.

Just once I'd like to see a myhtology that didn't end in a spectacular bang. Just for the sake of variety.

In Matthew, Jesus said there would be wars in one place after another, food shortages, earthquakes, pestilence….also the book of Timothy said children will be disobedient to parents; unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, men who lie with men, thieves, greedy persons, fierce without love of goodness. Everything we are seeing today. I never read anything about "7 years" in the Bible…Hope this helps.

Rather than give you a specific sign or signs, I suggest that you read the eschatological discourse of Jesus which you will find in the synoptic gospels – Matthew 24; Luke 21; and mark 13. I also suggest that you get hold of a reliable Bible commentary when you read this discourse because you can easily make a wrong interpretation. it would also help if you pray for guidance before you read the discourse.

The sign (singular) is when you see the abomination of desolation as spoken of by Daniel the prophet then know that the end of this age is near. your own personal sign is when your laying somewhere, either in a hospital bed, or in a tragic accident, takeing your final breaths of life, know that your end is near.

Some beast flying out of the ocean with "666" tattooed on its head. Check it out, it's there. Revelations. That's actually pretty stupid if you think about it.

The seven year tribulation theory is what the bible calls a cunningly devised fable. it is based on the false premise that tribulaton is wrath, and God's people are not appointed to wrath. this system of false prophecy is called dispensationalism and was mostly perpetuated by Cyrus Scofield, a masonic heathen who conspired with the illuminatti to deceive believers in churches, and well it pretty much worked, accept on God's true remnant of which the bible says cannot be deceived. Matt.24:24 the bible says we must thru much tribulation enter into the kindom of God. Acts 14:22 There is not space enough to go into all the predominate errors in end times eschatology running rampant. But suffice to say, that the bible says people will be marrying and giving in marriage right up to the end, basicly going about their business. Matt.24:37-38. this indicates that the signs will be right in front of peoples faces, but they will not recongnize them unless God reveals it to them. the true understanding of bible prophesy is the most incredible thing I know of, as Jesus Christ is the spirit of prophecy. Rev. 19:10 if you want to know the true preaching of the gospel and not a counterfeit, then check the link below, and for starters, listen to Satan in the Temple of the Lord.

natural disasters, the rising of the anti-christ,economy going down, the 2nd coming of Christ, etc

What are the signs of the end of the world accourding to the bible??

Do you believe Nostradamus' prediction about the end of the world in 2012?

No.

Nostradamus got his prediction from one thing, and one thing only. The fact that the mayan calendar (which is extremely detailed and accurate) simply ended in 2012. they assumed that this meant the Mayans believed the world would end in 2012, and since they were known for their calendar and skill in astronomy and astrology – they were believed.

Chances are, the Mayans just didn't bother to make the calendar past that point until they got closer to that year. and since they all died out before that time came – it was never continued on.

Nostradamus did not predict the end of the world in 2012.

The Mayans predicted the end of the Long Count being 2012. The Mayans did not say the world would end in 2012 but only a cycle of time.

It is the new age believers who think 2012 will be the year the world ends. I am fairly sure I will still be around for many decades after 2012.

Nostradamis did not predict the end of the world in 2012, nor did the Mayans. The Mayans predicted major change. It is the end of a cycle and the beginning of another. Some believe that the earth may shift on it's axis, which is possile as it has happened in the past.
MAJOR CHANGE, not THE END. I believe the Mayans actually predict the world will end (as we know it) in 3025 (or somewhere around there)

Nope.
If I did I'd be in the bahamas soak'n up sun rather than sitting here trying to finish a research paper. sigh.
