I have spent my Life trying to figure out the truth to Life and the Universe . I have done much reading and taken different pieces of the truth from many religions. Many Religions I have found to be False. Even though things are proven to be false over and over People do continue on “Faith” to believe them. My ideas here are as a Theory of what I have come up with so far. There is No Box where things have to be 100% True and can not be wrong. They are only what you Believe and want them to be. Here I will try to explain what I think the truth is so far and why I believe it to be true ! This is an on going work and there will be many updates and Changes as time goes by and I learn more. Please feel free to ask Questions because that is how we find the Answers. Lets be clear I am not Saying I am God or the Son of God, I am Saying that We as a Human race are all small Pieces of what we think of as God !

Your First Step: The Universe only knows what is in your mind ! If your Brain has negative emotions and thoughts then that is what it brings you . Be careful what your mind thinks about. I am going to start you off by telling you this Life is nothing more than VACATIONISM !!!

The Therory of Vactionism is that every person and every Living thing is Energy . We all come from this Giant energy ball that floats some where in the Middle of the Universe . When we are a part of the Energy Ball we are all Connected, We are individuals yet we are one and the same and we feel only Joy Happiness Peace (No Negative Emotions) and we are never alone !

Every now and again things get a little Boring, We are curious beings that seek new adventures. We leave the Energy Ball and we travel the Universe and look for something to become for a while. For those of us here on Earth We become Humans , Animals Trees and Plants . (I am not Sure maybe other things too like Clouds and stuff like that)

While we are here we have Corporeal bodies that we live in. These Bodies keep us from Truly being a part of each other as we are used to . (Sex being the Closest Thing we experaince to togetherness) These Bodies are the reason for many negative emotions.

As Children We learn that if we touch a hot stove it hurts the body , So we learn pain and because of pain we learn fear and because of fear and Pain we allow ourselves to fear and distrust those things we do not remember we know and understand. Often we spend our Lives, Hiding away not trusting anything in an attempt to protect this body (This Body is Nothing more then a rental car you would get while on Vacation)

We come here to enjoy Different experiences, But We spend most of our time hating and fearing each other. We are all Roses from the Same Bush, Some of us have been placed in Different Colored Vases. Why would a Rose hate its Brother Rose because it has been placed in a Red vase while the other Rose a Blue vase?

This Life is a Vacation and we are here to enjoy it and bring back the Experiences to the Giant Energy Ball and share our Vacation Photos with everyone else that is there. What will you have to show? A Life time of Working 9 to 5 and hiding in fear or will you have some Great Crazy Vacation Photos to Share?

This Life is not reality it is only a Vacation. When a Human dies a few Minutes Later there is an Energy Discharge from the Body , I believe that is who we truly are !

There is a great and Powerful Being that Controls the Universe it is not mean and it does not Judge Us it is a part of Us and Us a part of it. It tries to help us out by sending us what it thinks we need. The Brain and our thoughts work on energy when we think negative Emotions then that is what it sends to us. This Life is Nothing more then a Short vacation and Should be taken with no more Seriousness then that !!!

And yet the Bible that has proven , time , tested and true far more accurate, that tells us about God sending his Son Jesus to put an end to this wicked world, how come everyone thinks thats just mere fiction? How insulting to God

Just a thought. could it be that people are looking for other sources rather than the 'tried and true' scriptures from the bible. I think people can see how horrible it is on the earth and they know that there is going to be an end. I do not know much about a Mayan calender but I do know that the scriptures speak of us living in the last days. Here is one of the scriptures that reads just like a newspaper:

2 Timothy 3:5…but know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. For men will be lovers of themselves, lover of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, head-strong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, having a form of godly devotion and from these turn away.

Yet, the good news is; the planet earth will still be around. it is only the wicked that will be destroyed. all the righteous ones will remain on earth. (Ps 37:10, 11, 29; Rev 21:3, 4)

My question is: why would anyone put faith in a religious system that was destroyed and its gods could not protect their followers.

It reminds me of Elijah and the Baal priests and the test they had.

And if you notice, they combined "Christian rapture" and "Mayan mythology", in some of the "movies" (Syfy had one that did this strongly).

As my sister answered, they are looking for an out of this System without having to do the important parts of the directions from the Bible.

The only reason people like the movie is to have something to believe on. For example people actually believed the world was going end in the year 2000. Yet here we are. Also when the movie was made that was the day and month of my birth. Does that mean Im going to die on my birthday? Eh it could happen. Just remember its just another movie with an exiting plot, even if its fictional. "for now"

There are real natural disasters that over Earth existence have killed humans, animals, and almost everything.

#1. Super Volcanoes can put so much debris in the atmosphere the Earth could go into a Nuclear winter that could last for many hundreds of years.

#2. Super Tsunamis over 1,000 feet high traveling at 750 MPH or faster could wipe out an entire continent in a few hours.

#3. A Meteorite as big as a mini van or bigger can put so much debris in the atmosphere the Earth could go into a Nuclear winter that could last for many hundreds of years.

#4. Plague has killed thousands in our past and with modern transportation it could get a LOT worse, faster, and kill millions more.

#5. A huge Earth Quake could cause Huge Tsunamis, land slides floods, and full power shutdowns.

#6. A shift of the Magnetic polls could cause Tsunamis, Super Earth Quakes, land slides, and a total wipe out of the population in a day or two.

Then what about man made ways we could die.

#7. Nuclear war would put so much debris in the atmosphere the Earth could go into a Nuclear winter that could last for many hundreds of years, and the radiation could kill any survivors.

#8. What about biological weapons intentional or accidental release. With modern transportation it could destroy every living thing on the entire Earth in a few weeks.

I hope nothing happends, BUT is it not smart to prepare for the worst and always hope for the best??

As an interesting side note. I need to research further, but I understand that the Mayan calendar has something to do with the cycles of the planets and in 2012 the whole cycle begins over again. It's kind of a mathematical thing.

What's interesting though is WHO were the star gazer throughout history? Not God's people. Satan has used astrology as a "mystical" distraction for generations. Like a crystal ball, tarot cards, ojai boards, voodoo etc…..

Why study the Bible when you can believe the lie and it comes to a theater near you.

From what I've heard the world is supposed to end tomorrow at 6pm by a massive earthquake. I was freaking out thinking a scientist predicted it until I heard that it was a Preacher who did. not only that but he predicted the same thing last year and it never happened!
I believe in God- Although I dont really have a specific religion- and so does my boyfriend. He has done some research on the subject for quite some time now. And he is also reading the bible cover to cover.
He told me that God said, no Man nor Angel can ever know Mankinds End.
Also he checked up on the earthquake thing and said from what he has read, its the Madrid Fault and he told me not to worry because its in the middle of the US. He said he's sure lots of people will die but doesn't think it will happen on this side of the US (California).
I don't know what to believe! I find it hard to believe the Preacher.. Because the bible doesn't say the world will end on May 21, 2011. how could this Preacher get an exact date like that? He's not a scientist from what I know!
What are your opinions on the subject?

It is most certainly false. In fact 99% of us faithful Christians dissmiss it as ballony. The preacher somehow used the Bible to figure out Christ's crucifiction, (he believes it is April 1, 55 AD or something like that) and then he used the square of three special numbers repeated in the Bible to get the number of days until Jesus would come back. He also used a passage from the Bible that said for every 1000 days to us it is like a second in heaven, or something like that.

Harold Camping believes Christ was crucified on April 1, 33 A.D., exactly 722,500 days before May 21, 2011. that number, 722,500, is the square of 5 x 10 x 17. In Camping's numerological system, 5 represents atonement, 10 means completeness, and 17 means heaven.

So if Jesus was crucified on April Fool's Day – and I am not sure where the preacher got that information – and if you know for a fact that atonement means the number 5, completeness is no other number but the number 10, and the seventh heaven is really the seventeenth heaven, well, that is all the evidence you need for the world ending tomorrow.

Beside the biblical fact that clearly states that no one can know the time, there is no earthquake that can end the earth; they are too localized.
As far as 2012, the same principle can be applied. no one can know.
However, I do have a question for you, and/or your boyfriend. If this concerns you so much and you have been reading the Bible from cover to cover, hasn't it had any effect on your lives? Where is your fear coming from? Personally, I look forward to the end…even if I have to suffer through whatever means the Lord uses. it will be over and I believe I will enter eternal life with God, family, friends and loved ones.
Don't intend to get preachy on you, but get right with the God of your understanding and get to know him with whatever time we have left. sure, in the END, we all will die. We can also die just stepping off the sidewalk in front of a bus. The goal is to know him, love him and Serve him. this is mostly seen in the lives we lead and our relationships with others.

Where does the Bible say anything about 2012? Revelations just says that he is coming soon…which means there is not any more of a chance of the world ending in 2012 then when you finish reading this answer.

Nothing we can do about it, so there's no sense getting upset.

Actually, the Bible, Qu'ran, and the Mayan religion say nothing about end times in 2012. not that it would matter what their fantasy was. And science doesn't say there's going to be an end times in 2012 either. Just because a lot of people fall for a scary conspiracy theory doesn't make it true.

Has anyone noticed that some Christians get a little too gleeful when they talk about the end of times? they get downright giddy when they talk about all of the suffering that nonbelievers will endure. why do you think this is?

What Christians have you been talking to? I hope you know picketers don't count.
These so – called Christians you've been talking to are probably just too lazy to to do what the Bible really asks them to do and just want things to be convenient for them.
if they smile at another person's suffering then they do not know love, and in not knowing love, they do not know God. I apologize for these poor representations of my religion.

The end of the old way things were done for a new and better beginning . . . unfortunately the digital "transition" screwed alot of things up . . . When properties and people were divided and used as dumping grounds . . . nothing but wickedness and selfishness inspired them and now a few seem to have to pay a cost for many! that constitutes a cry for justice. after many years since the garden He has displayed for us the glory of his affection, but in one day the glory of his indignation will be expressed. because it has to be. God cannot and will not abide sin. our sinful delights are offenses to Him, laws He can't overlook us breaking forever and it is why God's natural way is to rebuke evil. the sad state is that many people at the time of destruction will cry in themselves, nobody warned me. but the documented proof is the legacy of those who devoted life and death to evangelize. there were warnings even before Jesus, before david. we are without an excuse. God has made Himself simple and plain for all of us. in eden we were sanctified though we were abolished, in calvary we were justified though we were guilty, and in zion we'll take part in his glory even though we are like worms before Him. but none of this applies to you if you choose within yourself to live by the idea that Jesus is anything but Lord.

The world will not end by flooding, as predicted on the Mayan Calendar. As a Christian, I believe God does not and will not break his promises to mankind, with this in mind:
The Mayan Calendar, otherwise known as the Long Chart, does not predict the end of the world as such, there is an image of a crocodile with water pouring forth from its open mouth upon the earth, and this has been taken to mean the destruction of the earth by flooding. now one could assume with the Ice Cap melting, that such an incident is on the horizon, however, it is also worth bearing in mind that the Mayan date of 2012 is a window date at best with at least a 30 too 40 year gap. nor does the Mayan Calendar speak of world destruction; it has just been interpreted that way by over zealous individuals. the image of the crocodile with water pouring forth from its open mouth upon the earth could mean something other than its current interpretation.
This is what God said and promised with regard to flooding:
‘I establish my covenant with you, that never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of a flood, and never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth.’ Genesis: 9: 11.
It is clear to me that God will not destroy the earth by flooding as predicted on the Mayan Calendar, it is for this reason I find the whole interpretation of the Mayan prophecies to be wholly wrong. Time will tell whether God speaks the truth or not, for we do not have long to wait until December 2012, and one will see that God’s promise is upheld.

I think the Mayan calendar could have ended for many, many reasons so to believe that the Mayan calendar is predicting anything is foolish.

I agree with you on this. the bible said our world would be destroyed by fire this time. the reason I don't believe the 12/21/2010 theory is because the Bible says that only God and not even his son Jesus knows when the end will be.

It's a myth and shows how desparate the world actually is for truth.

Because the next time, it will not be by flood but fire and brimstone!

The Mayan Long Count calendar clicks over from 12.19.19.17.19 to 13.0.0.0.0 on 21st December 2012. That's all there is to it. It's the same as our calendar changing from 1999 to 2000. the Mayans themselves never predicted the end of the world would happen at that time. There's no image of a crocodile related to this date either.
All the doomsday predictions attached to this date are, without exception, unscientific nonsense, perpetrated by frauds and hoaxers.

Jesus told us in no uncertain terms that we were not to know when the end of the world would come but that we were always to be ready.

The early Christian Church thought that Jesus was going to return at any moment. only after a couple of centuries did the Church realize that it may be 2,000 or 4,000 or 8,000 years before Jesus returns.

The Catholic Church wisely follows Jesus' advice and teaches that each of us should live as if we will meet our maker in the next ten minutes and that we need to work to make the world a better place for our 100 X great-grandchildren.

Do not worry about the end of the world. Trust God to make sure everything happens to plan. just be ready to meet God at any time.

well, i watched a special on the mayan calender and whether or not the world is going to end, etc….
Here is what i learned:

the calander actually speaks to revolutions of the earth. the axis that earth rotates on has for the most part what seems like an uncontrolled wobble…but it actually cycles in a pattern that can be tracked(this is what the mayan calender does) the last known cycle where it lined back up to where we are supposed be coming up on, was so many yrs ago (i forgot the actual number) but i do remember that it scientifically lined up with the time of the great deluge (the flood). and again around the time that the dinosaurs were wiped off the earth. now whether or not it will bring another flood is a different story but im sure it will bring some form of destruction.

No we not going to end on 2012 likes the Mayans predicted. a lot of people don't know that all the planets will be in one line and they will start counting again. Also people don't know that there is a other calendar that will end couple of hundred years further in the future.

As you said GOD created the rainbow as proof he wouldn't flood the earth anymore.

What might be possible to happen is that the magnetic fields will flip from one side to the other. Read ISAIAH he predicted more like. When the two towers will fall. he already knew that the world was round. we needed the hub to discover because a lot of us are unbelievers.

me and a couple of coworkers were having a brief debate about if the world was gonna end. one time i was chilling with some of my associates and then this drunk man came up and was talking about the world ending in 2012, so when i walked in work this morning i brought it up, ad it turned into an ugly debate. now i want to hear the people's voice and i want to know wat u think.

No, we're using the Jewish lunar calendar. But only God knows, and He's not telling.

Each year my calendar ends. Then I have to buy another calendar.

Similarly, if the mayans were still around, they'd be able to sell you a new mayan calendar.

It's just a rumor. After God created us all, he took bets with Zeus and Quetzalcoatl on how long we'd last. they have $5 on a date, and Quetzalcoatl's date is December 21, 2012.

The Mayan calander in 2012, will be like your cars odometer turning back to 0000000. Your car doesn't explode when that happens. And the world doesn't blow up either.

The Mayan Calendar doesn't actually end in 2012. This particular CYCLE of the calendar ends and we begin another one.

The Mayan calendar ends in 2012 . But that year does however fall within the biblical time for the return of Christ (the world never ends, just a time dispensation ends). The bible states that we are can not know the day nor the hour when Christ will return. But it does however say that we are to know the season. The bible basically says that from the restoration of Israel ( happened in 1948) until the destruction of Jerusalem(happens when Christ returns) would be seventy years. so 1948 +70 more years = 2018. But the time for satan to be allowed on earth and pretend to be the real Jesus is shortened from seven years down to whatever God decides. I would not hold your breath on the end of the world happening in 2012. a lot of terrible things could happen by then, but a cataclysmic end of the world scenario is not in our near future. I prefer the Hindu calender. It tells us that we are in the 4th age called the Kaliyuga. It is an age of darkenss and illusion. there is somewhere in the neighbourhood of 400, 000 years left in this age before Visnu recreates the Universe.

Well , lets not disdain the whole issue without checking out the basic facts. This prediction isn't done by Nostradamus , it was done by Maya about 2300 years ago . Maya were a group of adept astrologers who predicted of such a disaster would fall in the winter for the major world (Upper Hemisphere). The only universally accepted knowledge and language today is Mathematics. so we have a task of proving this disaster mathematically. why the number 21-12-2012 ? The numbers 21 & 12 are mirrors of each other , which indicate symmetry or justification. why 2012 ? 20 + 1+2 = 23. 2/3=0.666666666666…..666 is the devil's number. The next question that arises is that whether the term 'World coming to an end' necessarily mean the destruction of life ? …'World coming to an end' could also mean a change in the current working system of the human life to allow a different force or follow a different way of life …what does this mean ? …In simple terms…the first act of the 'AntiChrist'….The reign that every astrologer has been talking about will finally come in colors.

This was not the prediction of Nostradamus, it is the year that the Mayan calendar ends, which many people take to mean that it is when the world also ends.

I personally don't believe that we know the time or date that the world will end and therefore do not believe that it will necessarily end in 2012.

And no matter how many times the name Nostradamus is thrown out their is somebody who says he predicted things that are happening now.

He was just a fortune teller and political activist who had a knack for making vague "predictions" that can be interpreted multiple ways. In reality he was so vague and wrote in prose because had he stated his true political opinions he would have been killed in a heartbeat.

Only God himself knows when and how the world will end. I can not remember the verse in the bible, but is says Jesus will come back like a thief in the night when everybody least expects it. so no one knows when it will happen.

I think you've been reading too much conspiracy theory propaganda? Nostradamus never predicted the end of the world, and in fact most of his "predictions" have been mistranslated, misquoted, and simply fantasized in order to retroactively fit into major modern-day events. and that's besides the fact that all of his "prophecies" are so vague and general that they could fit in to any event that one could apply a little imagination to.

There have been countless predictions about when the world is going to end and none of them have proven true yet. The main difference is, human beings now have the power to destroy the world themselves. The way things are going, 2012 does not seem too absurd, someone just has to screw up enough to make it happen. I suppose that eventually, someone's prediction will be right but nobody is going to be around to say I told you so!

The current fad is the Mayan calendar "end of the world" fad. there will be those backers of that fad because they have been able to use it to post many questions and answers, that will get very mean to you. trying to supplant the going Mayan with Nostradamus is just not feasible. After you get older, and 2012 passes on by, you'll find people telling you that he predicted 2020 or some other number. I've seen the story change several times now, from 92, 96, 98, 2000, 2004, etc.

If you are particularly interested in Nostradamus find some of his original writings. I once read a book that had his original text, followed by a direct translation, and then the modern interpretation of the direct translation. although this book was written to support the idea that he predicted our future, the difference between the direct translation and the interpretation was striking. In other words, people take great liberties when translating and interpreting his work. Don't believe for a minute that he predicted anything at all that has come true. He hasn't. from WW2 to 9/11, from assassinations and economic depressions, his actual words did not predict these events at all.

The Mayan calendar does start over in the year 2012. many people see this as the end of the world as their calendar "ends" in that year. but this is due to people not understanding that the Mayan calendar is circular. Just as Saturday is the end of the week on our calendar, this is not the end of the world but instead is followed by Sunday — the start of a new week. The Mayan calendar works the same way, the years on their calendar will start over again in 2012.

i was watching the history channel and it talks about the end of the world is it true im only a child and im scared to death i thought only god could end the world

it's nothing really.
everyone though Y2K (year 200) would mess up all the computers and missiles would kill everyone. but it didn't.

the mayan calender ends december 21 2012. it doesn't mean the earth will end. they just didn't record after that date. people have said it's the end of the world because the mayans supposedly could 'guess' the events and stuff. people have said they guessed the 9/11 attacks, but i haven't seen evidence of it.
besides, if the mayans were so good at guessing the future, why is their culture extent? seriously. don't worry about it. it's just another myth.

Look man, dont listen to these other dumbasses who say it's just a hoax and nothing is going to happen. the end of the world isn't as it sounds, just the end of things as we know them, doesn't mean humans wont exist just that there will probably be some natural or nuclear disaster. the population will probably lose a couple billion at first, then disease and starvation take effect and reduce the population even more. those lucky enough to live underground won't have to worry about living on the surface, but most people (like myself) cannot afford money for a bunker so i'll probably be forced to survive on what I can find, such will probably be the fate of others no doubt.

the end of the Mayan calendar does not mark an end of the world but rather an end of a 26,000 year cycle in which earth completes a full precession. A precession is the earths wobble on its axis as it shifts the location of the equinox/solstice at 1 degree every 71.5 years.

(The equinox is when the sun lines up on the equator and the solstice is when it is at its northern/southern most extreme)

During the December equinox on 12/21/12 our sun will enter the galactic alignment, which is when the sun lines up perfectly with the massive black hole in the center of the milky way and our equator. It is the beginning/end of the 26,000 year cycle.

The reason why this played such an importance to the Mayans was because their mythology was a, sort of frame work for astronomy. their creation myth, in a nut shell, featured 2 gods (whose names i can't recollect), but were symbolized by the sun (father) and the center of the milky way (mother). Early Mayan sky watchers noticed that our sun, father, was slowly moving toward the center of the milky way, mother. Through mathematics and astronomy they were able to calculate the day that these two would align with the earths equator on the galactic equator, which is confirmed as 12/21/12

As far as whether this will be the end of the world is unclear (and very unlikely since this happens every 26,000 years and the earths been around for about 4.5 billion years). thats not ruling out that something crazy will happen, but i'm not canceling any appointments for 2013

As far as all the people using Y2K as evidence for 2012 not being significant. Y2K was a computer bug caused by lazy programmers not put 19xx in front of the dates. they thought this would wreak havoc with the computers and screw everything up. the only other thing i remember was the hobos in NYC with signs saying the world would end. lol. there are actually a lot of astronomers, mathematicians, and physicist that are interested in 2012, not so many were about Y2K lol.

If we can learn anything from the Mayan Calendar it is that the knowledge of ancient civilizations is important to us and we shouldn't brush it off. Go all the way back to the ancient sumerians and you will find their hieroglyphics showing the planets in our solar system rotating around the sun in 4000BC and tell me that modern science is so far advanced to the same people that first started non-nomadic civilization on earth!
