Since Islam has no reference of end of world on 2012, Can we believe on the scientific facts?

2012 is not the end of the world. Stupid dumb atheistmust believe in that since supposedly scientist have proven it. Dumb atheist! the world is never going to end until God say so.

The Hopi American Indians, the Mayans, and I think the Hindus, all have reference to end times being 2012. there may be more, I don't know. Even so, that is not scientific. the supernatural can not be quantified by theory, tests, and results. it surpasses the natural. hence, it will never be proved scientifically.

Islam has no reference of the end of the world on 2012 or any specific date.Muslim works to live a thousand years and prayed hard to die tomorrow.It"s very important to check the 'sign' of world coming to the end from quran and hadeed.

I know that all predictions of doom and disaster in December 2012 are lies. they are frauds for commercial gain and spread by corrupt television channels, corrupt publishers and dishonest web site owners.

The prophecies from the Mayan calendar and Nostradamus do not exist. the Mayan calendar thing was invented by Jose Arguelles who also claims to be a reincarnated Mayan priest. In reality, the Mayans predicted that something would descend into something else. the inscription is damaged so it is anyone's guess what it actually meant. Probably party time.

Nostradamus is nearly always quoted by those who predict the end of the world and was quoted for the last end of the world in 1999 – 2000. nobody who quotes him ever says exactly where the prophecy is in his books since some people could check and prove them to be liars.

There is no stray planet called X or Nibiru. If one of these was due to be here in December 2012 it would already be visible. X was supposed to be here in 2003 by Nancy Lieder who claims to hear alien voices in her head. Nibiru is supposed to be here after 2085 by Zecharia Sitchin who invented it.

Timewave Zero was cooked up by a big-time drug user called Terrence McKenna out of the I Ching, a Chinese book of divination intended for personal fortune telling, and therefore just an old superstition. His first version supposedly showed the end of the world or something in November 2012. That did not quite fit with Arguelles theories so McKenna fiddled it to fit.

The planets will not line up and it would not matter if they did.

The magnetic and geographic poles will not shift.

The 25,800 year precession cycle will not stop, start or change direction. it will merely be where it was 25,800 years before, just like it is all the time. this has no significance except to astronomers and not a great deal to them.

The peak in solar activity is expected in early – mid 2013 and is expected to be about average, it happens about every 11 years in any case. Even if it turns out to be a big one, it may cause a few blackouts for a few hours in places where power grids are already under strain and it may affect a few land phone lines. the majority of communications is by fibre-optics now and this cannot affect them

Most of the stories of galactic line ups are false, that includes the Sagittarius thing. One is nearly true but it happens every year about 18 December. nothing happens then and the others would not matter if they were true. the centre of the galaxy is too far away to bother us much.

There are no known asteroids, comets or large meteors expected. the Earth will be struck by meteors, but that happens all the time. most of them burn up in the upper atmosphere and put on a brief light show.

Earthquakes happen almost hourly, some are big, most are small. they cannot be predicted this far out.

I have a prediction that it cannot be true! all that nonsense can't be possibly true, if it will, get a good bomb shield or something like that.

What a great question. It represents a closing of a grand cycle in time. It, according to many, will usher in mega changes, but I believe this is a good thing. if you do a goolge search on the year 2012, you will find links to all sort of info, positive and negative. Sort through it carefully, and listen to your gut instinct to find out what is true and what is not! Don't be afraid ! There's nothing to fear…

NO.. because in Islam (maybe even in Christianity, not sure) Jesus is to return (he hasnt yet) and fight the evil on earth and bring peace back. He will marry, have children and live for 40years then die a natural death..this is all before the end of the world.. So 2012 is only about 5 years away… thats way too soon if you believe in Jesus' returning…

You really have to ask yourself why so-called highly civilized people (such as us) would choose to put this interpretation on a primitve peoples ancient artifacts.

At the ripe old age of 45 I have lived through Y2k, solar storms and several supposed ends of the world as predicted by Nostradamus and Edgar Cayce.
We are still here, the world still turns, and someone somewhere out there is cranking out a book to sell to gullible people about the next supposed end of the world.

think the mayans got the calender thing from the aztecs because the aztecs beleived that the end of the earth was in 2012 also. here it is.

the aztecs believed that there has been four ages of the earth we are in the fifth), each ending with some terrible event that happened to bring about the creation of some creature. for example, at the end of the second age, a great wind started blowing that blew everything off the earth but two people who survived by holding on to a tree. as a result of hanging on to the tree, they grew tails and became monkeys.

they believe that this age will end with earthquakes on december 22, 2012. so i think that the mayans took this idea and just created a calender to go with it.

As they said above, all it represented was the end of this grand cycle and not necessarily the end of time.

It's far more likely that the guy making the calendar asked "how far do you want me to go?" and someone else said. "how far can you go?" "A couple of thousand years." "That's good. if we need more, we can do it later." "Sounds good to me."

Seriously, the Mayan Calendar is a manmade construct just like the Julian calendar and the Gregorian calendar. God did not make them. The end of the world is not tied to a specific date on any calendar. We'll find out about it just a little bit before it happens if we get any advance warning at all.

The Mayan Long Count calendar isn't ending. It's simply going from the 12th Baktun to the 13th Baktun, much like ours went from 1999 to 2000 amid much hype 6 years ago.
And no, it's not the "end of the world" it's supposed to be a new beginning.

I have read Zechariah Sitchin's book the 'End of Days' he talks about the coming of Nibiru a planet of the Annunaki that will cause cataclysms upon our earth when it is in our orbit. the world will never end it will just be destroyed and rebuilt in different ways.

Yes, I most definitely believe in 2012. It comes after 2011 and just before 2013. We are living in the last days or end of days as the apostle John told us in 1 John, so we have been in the last days since the crucifixion of Jesus.

Read the Bible and what is so hard to believe one year follows the other numerically. You will see where John talks about "these last days" meaning the last dispensation under God on this earth.

Also, we are not permitted to know the times nor the seasons when Jesus will return. Therefore, since so many people are jumping on the end of the Mayan calendar as the end of days, You can bet it will not happen in 2012.

Not even Jesus knows the exact date and time God sends Him to collect His Church. But we all must be as ready for it as if it might happen this very second. I'm ready, are you?
