What's the Christian argument of why an unbeliever should believe in the "End Times"?

I saw something on TV last night about a 10 DVD series about the End Times. why would it behoove an unbeliever to take it seriously? is there anything in it that I should know?

I am assuming there are at least some Christians on here that believe in this that would answer this in the context it was written.

The Christian is in error by trying to convince you that the End Times should be believable on your part as it is inconsistent with the scripture that they are referring to to begin with;

2 Thess 2
9The coming of the lawless one(anti Christ) will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, 10and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They(unbelievers) perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

The unbeliever will be kept from seeing the truth.

when i imagine what those christians are like, I imagine a person who is having trouble making month's rent, so he gets capital to scare people into coming to his congregation, gets paid, pays his bills . . .happy for the moment.

. .except there was that idiot who poured, what was it, 140K from his life savings to advertise last month's (May 21st?) being Christ's arrival? pretty sure I would have divorced him. Guess people can believe what they want, but whether or not they're actually right makes all the difference.

Because, according to them,

we're going to hell…

For some unknown reason they also 'believe' that we 'unbelievers' REALLY do as well, we are just in denial.. it's all part of their delusion I guess…

They 'believe' in a god that has no evidence for existing, it's no big deal to 'believe' in just about anything I guess…

It is there for the asking…or it is there for FYI. no one says you have to know it and many will never want to know it and it let's you in on that little secret as well….Believing and not believing is part of the SEPARATION process…..brother against brother……etc…,

That end times crap sells a lot of books and DVDs. anyone with a brain does not buy into it. Jesus said we are not to concern ourselves with that. Ours is to be witnesses and be faithful.

Because it is illogical – and dangerous – to think that something is not so simply because you don't believe it to be

It's been prophesied about by many prophets in the bible.

I don't make an argument.

I prefer the "I told you so" moment when it's too late for the non-believer.

I'm seriously scared to death… and sometimes i even cry about it.
I'm so terrified about the world ending, not only for me, but because of my parents/siblings.
I don't anything to happen to them.. AT ALL.
I'm a 14 year old girl, And i'm planning to go to college, i want to have a successful life. But this seriously scares me.

So PLEASE, any REAL PROOF that the world wont end in 2012?

Well, first of all…"things" are going to happen to those who you love. And to you. That's something you have to accept. it is the only way humans learn to grow.
There isn't any point in being scared about it. if the universe decided it, life could be over tomorrow. Chances are most unlikely, but the point is, it's not something to think about. It's not something anyone has control over. In retrospect, it won't really affect anyone…after it happens there will be nothing. no room for regret, cause no one's there to regret it.
Just live for today. make your life as grand as you can make it, don't worry about the past or the future, focus on the present. nothing else matters. you only have control over now.

Hon, I don't know how you can prove that it won't just like you can't prove that it will. The only thing I can tell you is there has been end of the world predictions sine the beginning of human civilization. This whole thing was by a crappy fiction author in the seventies and picked up a few years ago by the History channel as a way to pick up their dismal ratings and then Hollywood caught on to sell movie tickets, it is fiction plain and simple and they just keep it going so you will watch the shows about it etc.. if the mayans could see into the future they would have seen the end of their civilization 4oo years ago when they were wiped out by the spanish, thats when their world ended.

Sweetheart, you don't need proof that the world won't end in 2012. you must understand that our physical lives will end, but life goes on. Keep loving, caring and sharing as you do now and you will be rewarded. please don't be scared of the inevitable, as at some point you will be separated from those closest to you, but fear not, for time will fly and you will be with them again. Ok, i watched a real video. The only conclusion of the world ending in 2012 is that the mayan calendar stopped that year/day. there is a video that ill try to post down there vvvvv that has a mayan shaman talk about this. he states that the Earth will enter the suns magnetic field, causing it to go dark because our magnetic fields are intercepting. it will not last for over a day. their prediction was that it would happen within ****80*** years from the date of 2012. This will not end the world, itll just be like a cloudy day. we will still feel heat and everything, just no light. you will survive. Stupid people just overthunk what was going to happen. Talk to me if you have any more questions.

You were probably to young to remember but in year 2000 "y2k", people said the same thing and nothing happen. many people prepared themselves and their families for the worse and looked very silly. Relax nothing gonna happen.

The world will never end in 2012 the chances are <3 (2) 1 you might have a severe weather like KATRINA,TSUNAMI ,earth quake and that all depends on whether the moral issue pass or get defeated .let us hold on tight to the rope of faith to pull us through…GOD'S WILLING …you are too young to worry…

The world has been suppose to end many times now according to popular hype, ex. 1997 and Y2K 2000. 2012 is only the next closest in a long line that people panic on. The next big one will probably be Issac Newton's 2060 prediction.

No one can predict that the world will end in 2012. there is no proof that it will end. It's just a scam.

i am dead serious people at work,around,etc.. keep claiming weird things going on that Aliens are landing,etc.. too me they sound insane

if u watch the movie ''2012'' evrything gets drowned and if u read your holy Bible GOD promises Humans he will never end the world in Water again after Noah's Arks end of the world??

so why are people getting crazy and saying these are the end of days and calling Barack Obama the Anti-Christ??

well, i dont know about the religious mumbo jumbo, but maybe in a few years (or decades probably) climate change and imminent nuclear war or something of a like magnitude will hasten the end of the human race (the world will probably live on without us; it did fine before we descended from apes…).

oh, and i believe in God too, so maybe just be good for now and earn brownie points when you come face to face with Him; party, travel and make love for the time being.

The Myans have a calendar that ends then.
