End of the world in 2012!?

im freakkkking out about this stupid 2012 thing!
i came a cross this article thing and the science part and holy molyyyyy
i want to know if its going to happen!?

Mayan Calendar Ends on December 21, 2012

Mayans were the first people to predict the end of the world in 2012. They were notorious for their highly accurate astrological tools they built out of stone and for bloodthirsty sacrificing of Virgins.

Mayans calculated the length of the lunar moon thousands of years ago – according to their calculations, the lunar moon lasts 329.53020 days – which is only inaccurate by 34 seconds. If Mayans were able to calculate the length of Lunar Cycle so accurately thousands of years ago, is it possible that their calculation of the end of the world – which according to their calculations falls on December 21, 2012 – is also that accurate?

Sun Storms Reach its Peak in 2012

Scientists studying solar energy and the behavior of the Sun have noticed that the Sun Storms have been radiating the Earth with so much deadly energy, many of human made satellites and power grids have been knocked out as results of this radiation. the calculations suggest that this solar activity is going to get worse and its peak will be reached in 2012.

Religions, Bible, I-Ching, Hindu – all Warn Us about 2012

It’s not only scientists that are coming with warnings regarding the end of the world, but also religions of all sorts say the same. Western book of all books – Bible, representing Christians reveals that the battle between Goon and Evil “Armageddon” has been set to take place in 2012. Chinese Book of changes also known as I-Ching also mentions 2012 as the year of the end of the world. Hindu teachings suggest the very same thing.

Yellowstone Volcano Will Erupt in 2012

The old Faithful geyser in Yellowstone National Park in the US is world famous for its thermal springs which sit right above the world’s largest volcano. the pattern of erupting the Yellowstone volcano has been following repeats itself every 650 thousand years. For whatever reason, the volcano is past overdue with its eruption, but the pressure in its depths is building and the geologists predict that it will go off in 2012 with a massive bang, filling the sky with thick layers of ash, potentially blocking the sun and throwing the Earth into a 15 000 years long freezing winter.

Poles Will Shift in 2012

The Earth is protected from Sun’s radiations by the magnetic field that surrounds it. the North and the South poles of the Earth Swap places every 750 thousands years or so. When pole swapping occurs, the magnetic field disappears often for as long as hundred years exposing the planet to the radiation of the Sun that is so strong it will burn the skin crisp in seconds. right now, the pole swapping is overdue about 30 000 years from its usual pattern. However, scientists are noticing that the poles are starting to shift faster and faster, moving about 25 kilometers every year, which is much faster than has ever been recorded before. This is likely a sign of the pole shift coming very, very soon. Scientists are estimating that the pole shift will take place in… you guessed it – year 2012.

Do you think its going to happen?

If there is one thing that you must learn in your life time it is that the earth is dynamic. anything is possible.

you're kidding, right? do ppl really fall for this garbage?

god only knows what will happen.

No. It is not true. the world has existed for four billion years. Is it reasonable to expect that it will come to an end in less than four years? And all because of a Mayan calendar? use some common sense, rather than freaking out.

The most interesting astronomical events in 2012 will be an annular eclipse of the Sun on 2012 may 20, a total eclipse of the Sun on 2012 Nov 13, and a transit of the planet Venus across the face of the Sun on 2012 Jun 06.

Scientists don't expect anything out of the ordinary to happen in the year 2012, or specifically on the date December 21, except for the solstice, which happens every year.

None of the "predicted" happenings for 2012 hold up under close scrutiny. "Planet X" and "Nibiru" simply don't exist. the Mayan calendar ends a cycle, but there were no predictions of the end of the world. the Sun doesn't line up with the galactic centre; it's 6 degrees off. no asteroids or comets are actually predicted to hit Earth.

All of this stuff was put together by crackpots in order to promote their books and TV shows, and shamelessly promoted by the History Channel. Don't take any of it seriously!

What science part? there is nothing scientific about anything that you have quoted.

A. If someone in the future dug up this years calander they might say that we predicted the end of the world on 1 Jan 2010 becuase our calendar ran out on 31 Dec 2009!

B. the sun has an 11 year cycle we've known this for over a century.

C. Religions – yes very scientific….

D. no geologist has or can predict this. It makes good tabloid news/interest.

E. If you rotate a magnet does the magnetic field disappear?

People who want to be noticed say stuff that will get them noticed. They will mix some truth in with their lies and spin a great yarn – but it's just fiction.

Calm down dear!!
There are lots of people trying to scare you these days in order to sell you something – a pill or a policy or a war or a politician.
there is absolutely no scientific evidence supporting the claim that there could be a geomagnetic reversal around the time of December 21st, 2012.
the effects of such a reversal have been totally over-hyped.

we'll most likely experience aurorae at all latitudes whilst the dipolar magnetic field settles down to its new, reversed state, and there might be a small increase in energetic particles from space
we'll still be protected by our thick atmosphere.

the 2012 doomsday scenario is flawed in so many ways.

If either man or providence grants me the coordinates of this body, and if its existence is thereafter confirmed by either Yourtel or live observation through a telescope, the source of this crucial evidence will receive $100 cash from me.
There's a $100 reward for anyone that can supply the coordinates of Nibiru. Click here and claim your money:
http://nibiruchallenge.blogspot.com

The $100 Nibiru Challenge is now the $5,000 Nibiru Challenge!

This is from some crackpot website and you're not the first person to cut and paste it here.
The Mayan Long Count calendar rolls over to a new cycle on 21st December 2012. the Mayans predicted nothing about any disaster. And the lunar cycle is 29.53059 days not 329 53059 days. That's how I know this is a cut-and-paste job from people who don't know what they're talking about.
Solar activity reaches a peak in 2012 as it does every 11 years. the next peak is expected to be less active than the last in 2001.
All these 'ancient prophesies' have been faked. If you can find a reference to any of them dating back before 1995, you will be the first to do so.
No geologists predict that the Yellowstone volcano will erupt in 2012. Where are their published findings on the subject?
The last magnetic pole shift was 780,000 years ago. the next one might occur in 1,000 years or 10,000 years. these events take thousands of years to complete. To pretend it will all take place in 2012 is ridiculous.
I hope that's covered everything.

Noooooo!

Huge amounts of codswallop in all those claims.

There are hoaxers out there trying to scare people about the world ending, and they use pseudo-science and bad history to try to persuade people of this. Those who actually understand science realise it's complete nonsense, as these claims are either completely incorrect or so distorted as to be completely invalid.

The Maya calendar doesn't end, it's just one cycle that does. However, that will make no difference to anything, as calendars can't actually change nature. Just like our last millennium end didn't change anything. It's just a way of counting days, not of predicting anything. Same with Hindu and other 'cultural' predictions.

Solar activity will indeed reach its peak in 2012, just as it did in 2001 and every 11 years before. rather than being a cause for doom, it's a good time to watch out for beautiful aurorae (northern/southern lights) in the night sky. such solar activity is perfectly normal, and no more likely to destroy us than at any other time in mankind's history.

Yellowstone is indeed likely to erupt at some point, but that could be any time in the next umpteen thousand years. no vulcanologists are saying it's likely in 2012.

It's a similar story with all the other reasons they're giving, such as intruding planets, galactic alignments, pole switches, etc. This is just like medieval people being scared of shadows, red sunsets, and hook-nosed women that wear a lot of black, attributing all sorts of scary hocus-pocus to things they don't understand.

There aren't any scientists who are worried in the slightest about the 'events' of 2012, beyond the normal stuff that gives them concern all the time.

So, we're no more likely to meet our doom in 2012 as 2000012 or next week!

It's a bunch of hooey, I promise you. :)

I don't know of any serious astronomers who believe this.
It's just another one of those viral conspiracy theories and urban legends that get endlessly circulated around the internet and published in tabloids.

Venusaur is *absolutely* incorrect. there isn't a real scientist IN THE WORLD who predicts this. as some have told you, we will have a solar maximum somewhere around 2012 or 2013 and the consensus is that it is NOT expected to be particularly bad.

Virtually everything else is total bunk.

Let me add to what others have said by pointing out that this whole myth is strengthened by the claims that something for 2012 was predicted by several of these ancient sources. Guess what. Yep, you guessed it. Those claims are just as bogus as the predictions themselves. NOBODY before the 1970s ever predicted anything for 2012 or any time near it. This was started by an acid-head named Terence McKenna in the 70s and has been embellished ever since by people looking for a buck in the popular media.

The Mayan calendar is *round*. It goes in cycles. 2012 is the end of one of their cycles just like Dec. 31, 2000 was the end of one of ours. so what?

Relax, and pass some of this on to your friends who have had the misfortune of reading certain Internet sites or watching the History Channel.

we will evolve spiritually, entering a new age of enlightenment. all the prophetic events in the bible are coming true. the sun will eclipse before the end date Dec 21, 2012. the bible said the sun will be darkened and the moon will not be seen. And we will learn of the end date during the end of times, which is now.

Don't you think this very pole shift can lift some auras or souls into higher vibrations, while some auras that are more 'sinned' do not gain this change. Sounds like ascension.

Too many co-incidences=

On the verge of the second great depression; Iranian nukes, Iran(Hezbolah/Hamas)&Israeli conflict; India&Pakistani conflict; Russia&Georgia conflict; North Korean long range missile tests, REX 84, King Alfred Plan, FEMA coffins, FEMA camps, secret prisons, Patriot Act, tapping public phones, reading public e-mails, RFID Verichips, XMARK, Mondex, SOMARK tattoos, Operation Urban Warrior, Operation Sudden Impact, MJTF, Project Bluebeam, pretend ‘aliens’, LHC, Operation Mockingbird, Agenda 21, NESARA, entomopters, DARPA monstrosities, Iron Mountain, Denver International Airport Murals, Georgia Guidestones, Bohemian Grove, Real ID, HR 1022, HR 875/ S. 475, vile Bush executive orders(yes they carry over!) regarding martial law and putting people into work groups, warrantless searches, end of Habeas Corpus, and the rise of a new character called 'Homegrown Terrorists' as specified in Senate Bill S.1959 which will be anyone against the North American Union and the new World Order especially Christians! 2012 prophecies from every corner of the globe.

The fact that solar activity will be at an all time high on 2012 and the rise of natural disasters currently is the scientific evidence backing up the Maya's predictions.

Yes, there are scientists who say 2012 will be doomsday.

YOU KNEW IT TOO( that is if you heard it on sci-Fi)

Like i said last question..sounds cool , but why Earth!!!???

Possibly

Anyways, you forgot to put about the predictions of the Hopi Indians.
They predict a god, a blue star, will appear and cleanse the Earth and kill us all.
Do some research, a lot of other Indians believe that the world will end.

and

One pope (forgot whihc) foretold a prphecy that the world will end (Jesus will come) when the 112 or 111th (forgot) pope dies. the current pope is one away. And he's pretty old.

Face it, we're all going to die.

End of the world in 2012!?

What is the difference between this theory of the world ending in 2012 and any other theory in the past?

What makes this prediction more true than others predictions about the end of the world?

The difference right now is that the 2012 prediction is still in the future, while the other failed predictions are in the past and purposely forgotten.

and this one was predicticted by a people who thought the spanish dude killing them was a god or something.

The difference is those are proved fake and this one has not been proved false.

There is no difference. all are based on zero real evidence.
There is always a bunch of cranks going round predicting the end of the world every few years. A history of unremitting failure doesn't deter them because they are desperate for your attention. They have 'important information' which you should know and which the 'government' is trying to cover up. In reality, they haven't the faintest idea about science and all their predictions can be shown to be false by anyone in possession of two or more brain cells.
Some of these cranks may be genuinely mentally ill and in need of help but worse still, a bunch of crooks have latched on to their rantings as an opportunity to make money from the more simple-minded in society by selling them useless survival guides and equipment.
After the world fails to end in 2012, the next date will be set at 2018 or 2020. not too far ahead or people won't be interested. Just enough time to get the new books and DVDs about the latest 'end times prophecy' on sale. and don't forget the movie.

What is the difference between this theory of the world ending in 2012 and any other theory in the past?

Please help will the earth really end in 2012 and from the LHC in october?

Hello,
I am really worried the world will end in 2012 is this true becasue i am only 13 i still want to have a life so please tell me the answer becasue i really want to live till i am old er 17 is the LHC experiment linked to it and what is the lhc experiment please help me i iwll give 10 points
Thank you for all asnwer that are given and they are all much apreciated

Yes, the world ended yesterday, when the LHC was turned on.

Then it got better, so that it can end again in 2012.

The LHC is no where linked to 2012. the LHC is created by science. the 2012 theory is created by Mayans. I'm 13 too and fairly scared of the whole 2012 thing. but as you hear about the LHC media makes it a bigger hype than it really is. so 2012 could also be a pretty big media hype too. Dont worry until that time comes, because then you miss out on life. (I've learned) You'll be fine. =]

About 2012, it is where Mayan's calendar ends. if the black holes will occur, it will be not in 2012, it maybe any day from Today. so it a different times which are not connected.

No!Dont worry!!!XD

The 2012 is an end of a calendar from hundreads of years ago!!it didnt end during the milliunuum, nor today.it wont end then!!we can ive our lives like planned!!!(I say we-Im only 14!!)XD

yes there is a really good chance. now listen to me, i am a scientist and Ive worked out the theory (using pi and all the other stuff) but there is a 56.78609% chance that the world will blow up. i am telling you this because you deserve to know the truth, and if you dont believe me i'll see you in heaven soon enough. God bless your soul.x

No. the WORLD (Your's, Mine, your dog's, etc..) will END- when you do something Careless or Stupid, like getting hit by a Car, taking Drugs you shouldn't, enlist in the Army where you can shot at in a War… -etc… And THOSE things can happen alot SOONER than 2012 if you're not carefull… so STOP worrying about those stupid Rumors & junk nobody can do anything about ANYWAY- & go on living your Life. And EDUCATE Yourself about what's going ON in the World -through School. the MORE You learn, the LESS you'll fear… :)

Why do puny little earthlings think they can end the world?
Or even sillier, predict the end of the world?
Think about it, we are like the ants out in the yard and we can no more destroy the world than they can.
This end of the world con has been going on practically since the beginning iof time, so don't listen to it, it is done just for attention.

The earth will not be destroyed….

For this is what Jehovah has said, the Creator of the heavens, He the true God, the former of the earth and the Maker of it, He the One who firmly established it, who did not create it simply for nothing, who formed it even to be inhabited, I am Jehovah, and there is no one else…Remember the first things of a long time ago, that I am the Divine One and there is no other God, nor anyone like me, the One telling from the beginning the finale, and from long ago the things that have not been done, the One saying, My own counsel will stand, and everything that is my delight I shall do…I have even spoken it, I shall also bring it in. I have formed it, I shall also do it. Isaiah 45 v 18; 46 v 8-10

One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh, but the earth abideth forever. Ecclesiastes 1 v 4 (King James Bible)

God will not allow man to destroy the earth…but he has an appointed time in which he purposes to judge the inhabited earth in righteouness.

www.watchtower.org

it cannot end twice and it won't end once either.

Okay, here goes—Nah, the world will not end in 2012, or so says many, many astrobiologists, astrophysicists, astronomers, and many other scientists, who are much, much smarter that I am. Some of them are even authors, who have written books about the confusion.

The LHC is a Large Hadron Collider that is found in Switzerland. Supposedly "it" is supposed to be able to create small "black holes" that is supposed to consume us—the Earth and all its contents + many, many other "things" that is even more scary! but it will have to be started for it to do anything and get fast enough to actually blow up particles of matter.

I personally don't believe any of it. mainly because there is a collider (it's called RHIC and it is the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider) that has already been in operation since 2000 that is located in the USA. if the USA has one and it's not "bad" how on Earth can there be one in Europe that is worse than the one the USA has? Yeah, I know, it's not pleasing to answer a question with another question, however, I feel it appropriate.

That I'm aware of "it" (the LHC) has nothing to do with the 2012 "scare". Some say that it is even more scary! but here again I don't feel that there will be anything created by the LHC that hasn't already occurred many, many times in space. the "black holes" there are even larger than anything that could possibly be created by something artificial. "They" (the above mentioned scientists) say that even if black holes are created they will disintegrate instantly and will only be amenable to study, by those (other scientist) who want to study them.

no it won't end.2012 is a hoax someone started as spam mail

LHC won't kill us another hoax some nitwit started.

as an astronomer i feel it is important to answer astronomy questions ..

here is what happened!

they turned it on and shot it , simulated it underground ,it worked
but has not been shot in space.that will be oct 10

this is why they are doing it ..

shoot particles and high energy particticles that
created big bang. to see what happens.

for more updates email me to my site and i'll keep you updated and
answer all your questions.

here is the latest on it

Probably not.

Ever since the Y2K and 6/6/6 (June 6, 2006) End of the World scenarios did not pan out, the scare mongers have been touting the 2012 End of the World scenario. when 2012 does not happen either, I am sure they will think of something else.

"but of that day or hour, no one knows, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. be watchful! be alert! You do not know when the time will come." (Mark 13:32-33)

Jesus told us in no uncertain terms that we were not to know when the end of the world would come but that we were always to be ready.

The early Christian Church thought that Jesus was going to return at any moment. Only after a couple of centuries did the Church realize that it may be 2,000 or 4,000 or 8,000 years before Jesus returns.

The Catholic Church wisely follows Jesus' advice and teaches that each of us should live as if we will meet our maker in the next ten minutes and that we need to work to make the world a better place for our 100 X great-grandchildren.

Do not worry about the end of the world. Trust God to make sure everything happens to plan. just be ready to meet God at any time.

For more information, about what Catholics believe about the end of the world, see: http://www.americancatholic.org/Newslett…

With love in Christ.

Please help will the earth really end in 2012 and from the LHC in october?

How did the 2012 Mayan prophecy escape the watchful notice of the Christian church?

they pride themselves on supporting 'prophecies' about all manner of foolishness, how did this one escape them?

http://www.usatoday.com/tech/science/2007-03-27-maya-2012_n.htm

Because it's BS. For one, there is no prophecy, it's simply the end of the 13th cycle and the beginning of the 14th. Also, scientists believe they got a wrong date on the Mayan calendar, offsetting the whole cycle by between 40 and 50 years, so "doomsyear" won't come until about 2062 or so.

If 2012 was truly the end of the World, then it would prove our Bible to be false. There are many events that are prophesied to be unfolded before the end of the world that have not occurred yet and need a period of 7 years to unfold.

Nothing is going to happen in 2012.

the only prophecies we care about are those in the Bible

How did the 2012 Mayan prophecy escape the watchful notice of the Christian church?

December 2012 – The End of the World

At the end of the first decade of 21st century, many are suspecting an end of the world by Dec 21, 2012. the theory of the ‘end’ of the world has ‘begun’ a debate among showbiz celebrities, cinema-going public, bloggers, businessmen, and religious people around the globe. a Hollywood blockbuster movie ’2012′ released recently also focuses on this same Mayan prediction of the end of the world by that year. Thus, there are many curious souls who want to know what the real answer of the question is. there are many who try to prove this theory by means of posing it as a thing already conceived by science! there are some others who try to prove this prediction with help of religious dogmas, a few more are those who seek to give explanations in support of this theory from study of semantics, signs, symbols, ancient myths and what not! Whatever it is, in recent times this question has stood before us as a mystery waiting to be solved.

There are so many points of views and there are as many disagreements. But the crust of the matter is that it is interesting to look forward to something as human is basically curious.

The world is going to or not going to end in December 2012 that we all will see. But so far science has not given us any such clue. there is no way to prove whether it’s true or not. Accidents are accidents, but taking in account the facts we don’t see the end of the world.

December 2012 – The End of the World

Do you think the Mayan Calendar which ends 2012, Science and Biblical Prophecy?

Could be a clue on a major Climatic event to happen?
Science warns us that the end of 2012 the Sun will be at it's most active Peak ever (Susnpots exploding) which is on sites like Nasa, new Scientist..the Mayans who studied the Sun also predicted a Catastrophe with the Sun in 2012
Your thoughts?

from what i understand it had nothing to do with the sun. i dont think anything will happen with the sun. one current thought is that an asteroid is heading for us and will hit us in 2012. others believe that is when prophecies in revelations will happen. in my opinion its going to be another Y2K. everyoen so excited for the end for no reason.

Haven't studied it enough to have an informed opinion, but I'm not really concerned about it either…If it is the end, fine, I've lived a full life, if not then perhaps it will be, as some claim, the beginning of a new era…We'll see when it gets here…

Let it blow, I hope it does it quickly

I could be mistaken… but the mayan calendar ends in 2012… and they didn't survive long enough to make a new one… that date is not biblical.

We go through phases of sunspot activity every few years… and no apocolypse yet…

Nyaggghh!
It's just an alignment of stars and stuff! it falls in the same category as a planetary alignment or solar eclipse! interesting astronomical curiosity!

Of course the Mayans 'predicted' it. they were obsessed with astronomy! they studied the movement of astral bodies and were able to extrapolate when everything would line up. It's only mathematics.

EDIT:
Other cultures also noted this because other cultures also observed the cosmos.

The Mayan calendar lines up with the time the Earth is in perfect alignment with the center of the Universe.

Past that….we have no clue what it brings. Could be a photon blast from the center, could make our poles shift in turn flipping the earth, it might create a gravity wave that pulls asteroids into the Earth, it could be related to Jesus returning, and it can relate to about 15 other things.

About 20 cultures, languages and items all point at this date….not just Mayan.

No the Mayans never could have known anything like that silly.

People have always been predicting the "End is Near". Eventually someone will be right, but I won't worry about 2012 any more than 2007. However, it will always be handy to know how to survive during a catastrophe and have some food and water for at least 3 days stored up at home.

The Mayans knew nothing about Jesus (that I'm aware), so they wouldn't have based their calendar on BC/AD, or nowadays, BCE/CE. So they wouldn't have that turning point at 0. So the number 2012 must be based on some other point.

Is it possible that the sun will explode in 2012? Sure, anything's possible. But your evidence doesn't support that claim.

that's not Biblical. we know that the earth will end roughly 1007 years post rapture (all Christians are gone), but since the rapture hasn't happened yet, I know for sure that the Earth will not end in 2012.

if there's a catastrophe with the sun and balls of fire rain down, boo-hoo. But I'm skeptical that will happen.

5 more years? I doubt it.

Did you know that many christians believed the world would end in the year 1000 AD?

Whereever they took it from, it seems that numbers have a certain magic to the people. the year 1000 turned out to be a year like every other one, and the year 2012 likely will be the same. If a maya astronomer would have lived to the year 2012, he probably would find that the count of his calendar has come to an end, and either start counting anew or make a calendar reform. I don't think he'd jump from a bridge.

Well, they may have been right but may be wrong. God does show us things in the stars, etc. Astronomy is a good thing to study. it was astronomers who followed the star over Bethlehem, and it represented that a King of Israel is being born. So, it does mean something.

But the Word of God being published/ preached in all nations is getting close to being fulfilled. So, then the rapture, then the beast & false prophet reign, then the wrath of God on the earth, then the Christ reign for a millinium. then the final Great White Throne Judgment…

Seems to me that 2012 is too soon for a sun blow up. Maybe a minor blow up. it has had some recent minor sun blow ups and has triggered some of the lately natural disasters & weather.

Sunspot activity doesn't mean the end of the world. Sunspots are a not a 'catastrophe' for the sun. even if it there is a large magnetic storm, the worst effect it would have on us is an interruption in communication technologies.

Well, if that has a corelation with the bible, then the sun is supposed to change from the perspective of those on Earth.

29"Immediately after the distress of those days
" 'the sun will be darkened,

So if that means that the sun itself changes I suppose you have something.

I think that it is very interesting that certain things point to that. Everyone seems to think that all the happenings will be in the atmosphere. Especially the Global Warming people. they do not seem to want to point to the sun heating itself for whatever reason.

The world will not end December 21, 2012.

Even if the seven-year tribulation period was to begin tomorrow (03/13/07), seven years would bring us to the year 2019.

From the end of the tribulation period, the world will continue on through the seven last plagues and the Millennium (a thousand years), to finally be destroyed after the battle of Gog and Magog.

Wow reading some of these answers that are using science and astrology seem logical. But since when has logic been warm, comforting, and loving. It's cold hard facts.

I prefer the Biblical reference to the end of the world than the astrological one. in my dictionary the definition of astrology is –
A pseudoscience claiming divination by the position of the planets and sun and moon.

Pseudoscience? – an activity resembling science but based on fallacious assumptions.

Divination is what God told us NOT to pratice because it would bring about evil and destruction. He told us not to trust in it or use it.

Divination – the art or gift of prophecy{or the pretense of prophecy} by supernatural means.

Hence, foretelling or fortune telling. just plain luck. which to me means by chance and NOT accurate. And IMO love has nothing to do with it. And I will choose love over chance and logic anytime. it is warmer and more comfortable and and according to the Holy Bible it will win over evil. :o ) So, I don't pay any attention to specific dates. Oh, and by the way the Bible also states that Jesus said, "there will be a new heavens and earth in which rightousness will prevail." And before that Jesus will call up His people to meet him in the clouds. from every corner of the earth and heaven. So, we will not feel the effects of the end of the world. Everyone & thing will be new. If we follow Jesus Christ now we are being altered already for that day. this is what I believe about any prediction including the year 2012. And any scientific prediction also. who made the earth? God almighty thru Jesus Christ. who better to know about the science of it than him? He put language in us and the reason and logic to begin with. But being the Maker, he knows more than His creation. :o ]^

Do you think the Mayan Calendar which ends 2012, Science and Biblical Prophecy?
